Creative Blog Hop

I was nominated by Fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Tanya Verret to participate in a Creative Blog Hop! I love Tanya's Creations!

To be a part of this, first I had to be nominated by another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator! Thank-you Tanya!

Then, I have to post a project:

Here are two pages out of my wedding album that I am finally (after 7.5 years!!) getting to finishing! I love Project Life! So much easier to get an album done! I still have some work to do, but it is finally coming to fruition... :-)

Next, I  answer some questions about me!

1. What are you working on right now:

I am trying to finish up my wedding album that has been sitting partially started for the past 5 years in my craft Cabinet!!! I'm using the Stampin' Up project Life Kit "Love Story" and am adding in my wedding colours (Navy Blue, silver and white) and a little bling every now and again! I haven't been crafting as much lately as I have a 2.5 year old very active little boy and a busy work schedule! But I try to sneak in a few minutes where I can!

2. How does your style differ from others in your genre?

I'm not sure it really differs at all, but I like things clean and simple- nothing overly fussy. So I tend to create projects that are simple with clean lines.

3. Why do you create what you do?

I've always loved making things for people, whether it was sewing presents for my family for Christmas to baking- giving creative gifts has always been a passion of mine. I learned to stamp and make cards while in university and really fell in love with it. It was a natural switch to giving presents of handmade cards for my friends and family!

4. How does your creative process work?

Generally after several hours on Pinterest during the week (let's be honest... several is putting it lightly....)  I try to set aside some stamping time to try out some of the designs that I've pinned or if I am feeling extra creative I'll sit down and come up with something fresh- it usually starts by choosing the colours and a stamp set and then I play with the design until I find something that I like. Normally I make cards in 4's that way I always have a stash on hand!

Finally, to end the Creative Blog Hop- I need to nominate another Demonstrator to Participate!
Check out my Favorite Demonstrator, My Mom!- Shanda Stirk this Saturday- March 21st!

3x3 Christmas Cards!

Here are the cute little 3 x 3 Christmas cards that we also made at the Fall Conference in Abbotsford Nov 1st!

Aren't they just darling! I really love how easy they came together!
They used the Under the Tree Specialty DSP (#135825 $15.95) (Which is a nice thick paper- like Cardstock!) and one piece from the Trim the Tree DSP stack. (#135824 $8.50)

Super easy to make and would also make quick tags!
