August Paper Pumpkin!

I received the August kit for Paper Pumpkin on Friday, and posted a little sneak peek video to my Facebook page with me opening the kit for the first time! So I finally got some time today to sit down and put together the kit! I've had a feverish, teething two year old, so no real down time!

Here are the 4 big cards the kit makes:

Aren't they so cute!!!!? Super easy to put together! The most time consuming thing was putting the adhesive on the backs of the little pink sequins! (Sure glad I have longer thumb nails! They sure came in handy!) I added the extra color to the big cards to add a little extra dimension. The kit came with a Hello Honey ink spot, and I used my Melon Mambo ink pad to add some extra color.

Here are the four small cards from the kit:

Again, seriously cute!!!! These ones are just large enough to hold a gift card. Perfect for birthdays!
And the leftovers! I still have four large card fronts, four small card fronts and half a sheet of banners, and a bunch of circles for closing the envelopes. Not to mention the cute sequins mad even a few brads!

Pretty amazing for only $25!!!!!

If you are interested in signing up for these cute kits to come to you- simply click the join paper pumpkin button to the right and it will take you over to the paper pumpkin site to sign up!
I also have an exclusive paper pumpkin Facebook page for my subscribers and if you want more ideas, follow my paper pumpkin Pinterest board!

Project life Challenge- Spread #2!

Here is my spread for this weeks Project Life Challenge!!!

 Page 1:

Page 2:

We just had Zak's birthday party on Sunday- can't believe he is already 2!!!! It doesn't seem like it's been 2 years!

I used the Everyday Adventure card pack and Accessory pack, the Day to Day, Remember This and Point & Click Project Life stamp sets by Stampin' Up!
I really love the journaling pens! They write so well!

I'm loving how fast and easy it is to put together a spread! Between printing the pictures and finishing the spread I would bet it only took about 30-45 minutes!

Wedding card

I made this card last night for one of my coworkers who is getting married this week!
I cased the design off one of my mom's cards and made it much larger (5.5"x8.5")

Because I made the card so large, I needed a custom envelope so I pulled out my envelope punch board to make this awesome custom envelope to match!

I tied the calypso coral ribbon around the envelope to keep it closed and give it a little flair!

Sympathy Martial Arts Card

It's never pleasant to have need of a sympathy card, and this was definitely not an exception.
My husband trains in martial arts and has earned his second degree black belt. We couldn't be more proud! A good friend and training buddy of his passed away unexpectedly last weekend in a freak accident. This week the DoJang held a special celebration for him and so I made this card for my husband to take.

I carved this stamp using the undefined stamp carving kit and I plan on carving a few more to go with it.
The sympathy sentiment is from the hostess set Bloom with Hope.

Here is the inside:

I really liked the sentiment for the inside of the card, it is also from the Bloom with Hope stamp set.

Thank-you for stopping by!

Sarah

West Coast Creators Blog Hop!!!!!

We are doing our very first West Coast Creators Blog Hop!!!!
Today's Blog Hop is all about the Big Shot
Here are two fast and easy projects that I made using my Framelits dies.

This is a sneak peek to a new framelits set in the Holiday catalogue! Here is what it looks like from the back:

It's a quick and easy gift card holder!!!! Love it so much!!!! The paper is also from the Holiday Catalogue... Here's a look at the other side of the paper:

Isn't that the cutest!!!!

On to project #2....

Here is a quick card using the star Framelits that was very quick to make as well.

It's hard to see, but the final star is popped up with dimensionals. This used the Be a Star stamp set and both Rose Red and Daffoldil Delight inks and papers.

To make the card base you simply fold your cardstock in half as usual, and place your Framelit on top, leaving at least a 1/4" of space inside the top of the star on the fold (this creates the hinge in the card)

Hop on over to Shanda's blog using the Next button, or back to Lisa and Devyn's blog by using the previous button!

Project Life by Stampin' Up! Long weekend spread!

We just got back from visiting family in the okanagan and I couldn't wait to do a project life spread! So once I picked out my pictures and printed them on my new wireless printer I set about getting my layout and cards selected. That's usually the most time spent- going through all the awesome designs and picking out the ones that you want to use. Then I journaled on the cards, added a few embellishments from the accessory pack and voila! I was done!!!! 30 mins to make a nice 2 page layout in my Project Life Binder Album!

Here it is! Page 1:

Here is page 2...

The card packet is the everyday essentials pack, and it is great for any occasion!!!!

Tomorrow my Love Story card pack gets here! So excited!

Thanks,
Sarah
